Once you have been accepted into the programme and you have been advised of the event date, time and location you will need to complete the Consent Form on our website. If possible the Consent Form should be posted to the KickStart Team prior to the event. Alternatively, the Consent Form must be handed over at registration on the day.
Please note that children cannot ride if their Consent Form is not completed and signed by their legal guardian for each individual event.
Registration takes place at the entrance to the gate 5 minutes prior to the event. Please wait on the side of the road patiently with your Consent Form signed and completed. Once registration is complete parents are asked to leave and return to collect their children at the end of the event. For parents who do not wish to drive home there are a number of lovely reserves in the area including, The Puketoki Reserve 5 minutes away which has a stream, picnic area and bush walk, The Quarry gardens walk in Te Puna, the Plumbers Point and Omokoroa Estuary wharves and of course the Bethlehem shops are within 10 minutes drive.
Once the children are registered they will be driven down a long narrow four-wheel drive farm track into a valley where the event is held. At the end of the event there will be a short debrief. Parents and caregivers will need to return to the gate entrance and wait for their children to be delivered at the end of each event.
