Child Profile.

KickStart has two main categories of children that they classify as "at-risk". The first group is the priority children who have been removed from their homes and come under the care of Child Youth and Family. These are usually children that are living in foster care arrangements. The second group of children are those who live with solo-mums, who come from low-income families where there are little or no positive male role models and limited ability to participate in sports like motocross.

Next Steps.

If you think you have a child that fits the criteria you will need to complete the Application Form on our website. Once you have completed and posted the form the KickStart Team will assess your child's needs and determine whether or not they fit the criteria and if there is space for your child in the programme. You will be advised of the outcome.

Duration of the Programme.

If your child is accepted into the programme we request that you be committed to bringing your child to our events for a period of 3 months. At the end of that period your child's needs will be reassessed to determine whether or not your child can continue in KickStart and for how long. The assessment will take into account the child's situation and his or her needs in relation to the needs of other children on the waiting list.
