KickStart is a programme developed to benefit "at-risk" children in our community. It is a non-profit organisation. KickStart holds monthly motorbike events for a group of children aged between 8 to 12 years. The children experience the adrenalin and thrill of motorbike riding while learning valuable life skills in a safe and fun environment. KickStart exposes the children to a healthy and positive sport where they gain confidence and learn self-respect.
Many of the KickStart Team members have always had an interest in motocross. At the beginning of 2007 we were challenged to use our interests and talents to benefit others. Out of that challenge developed KickStart. We believe KickStart is a success because God has blessed us for using our talents and interests to show at-risk children in the Bay of Plenty that they have a future and a hope. The KickStart Team would like to challenge you to use your interests and talents to make a difference.
